The music video for S/mileage's new single - "Tabidachi no Haru ga KIta" ("The Spring of the start of my journey has come") has been released!
The song is very cute and fresh, with a classical twist - a perfect song for S/mileage. The costumes are typical for S/mileage with the cute uniform-style, but the white and navy blue colour choice gives these costumes a very elegant and luxurious look. If you watch the MV, you'll notice that Takeuchi Akari's costume is different in that she is the only member wearing shorts - but this is a nice touch as she stands out and it promotes her as the "tomboy" of the group. The white/pastel coloured oufits that the members wear in the solo shots are also very cute, and a nice contrast with the dance-shot costumes.
The sets in the video are very fresh and simple - in keeping with this spring-themed Spring release! The refreshing lighting compliments a youthful group like S/mileage and gives the video a very high-quality feeling. Most of all, this single stands out as a big improvement in the member's talents. Vocals have clearly improved for the majority of the members, and with the last release "Samui Ne?", it shows S/mileage are very capable of a more sophisticated image.
