The MV for S-mileage's new song "Ii Yatsu" (Nice Guy) has been revealed!
"Ii Yatsu" is one half of the group's upcoming double A-side single "Ee ka!?/Ii Yatsu". The lyrics focus on a girl's anxious feelings about a problematic relationship, and the overall deep, melancholic tone of this song contrasts with the feisty attitude in "Ee ka!?". The hard-hitting backing track coupled with girlish, dramatic lyrics is very reminiscent of some of Berryz Koubou's recent songs - it seems that S-mileage are being given some slightly more serious material to work with.
The first thing that strikes me when I saw the MV, is the conservative and elegant wardrobe - very different to the controversial pink costumes in "Ee ka!". The current trend for double A-side singles among Hello Project seems to be trying to promote the versatility of all the groups.
"Ee ka!?" is a spunky, youthful song whilst with a more serious tone, cool pastel colours and lots of brooding over a coffee cup, "Ii Yatsu" seems to be promoting a serious, mature side to S-mileage.
