Today, the music video for C-ute's new single "Crazy Kanzen Na Otona" had been released!
"Crazy Kanzen Na Otona" is a very energetic dance-track with a strong electronic beat. The contrast between the slower melodic parts and the synthesized dance-beats is very effective, and overall the member's vocals are well suited to this song. The melodic parts give the song an elegant-feminine touch which suits C-ute's image.
The lyrics touch on the conflicts surrounding "becoming an adult" and personal individuality. Although the song does not stand out as much as some of their recent releases, it is still a particularly "cool" song for C-ute and it suits their maturity.
The music video is very cool and mature; the dance shot choreography is very mature yet powerful and this is reflected in the costumes as well - sexy red outfits but with added chains, belts, studded accessories and biker jackets. However, C-ute still give an elegant-touch to the outfits with cute boots and soft hair-styles. The cool light effects against a black background give the scenes a powerful atmosphere, and make the impressive chroreography stand-out a lot more.
Also, it's worth noting the contrasting shots near the beginning that show the members in white clothing, applying make-up in mirrors - shots that I think demonstrate the "conflict of growing up" and individuality feelings expressed in the lyrics. At the end of the video, there is a final shot of Suzuki Airi looking in the mirror which makes for an impressionable ending and gives the lyrics more thought-provoking meaning.
