Rokkies - "Watashi no Jidai"
I absolutley adore this song! It’s certainly going to be a fan favourite, considering that it is a duet using Morning Musume’s remaining senpais. Sayumi and Reina are an unlikely combination, but their voices work very well together in this song. Reina’s voice has enough skill and depth to pull the song through, whilst Sayumi’s cute voice fits in well with the lyrics.
The song is upbeat, energetic and cute although still highly appropriate for Sayumi and Reina. The lyrics are very fitting for these two, and if you can’t read Japanese I suggest you look up a translation asap! Also, if you haven’t seen it already, watch the performance of this song at the 2012 Hello Project Summer Concert – the dance is adorable and so are their outfits! Overall, this cute, upbeat song showcases the remaining Rokkies and their experience as Morning Musume members of almost 10 years stands out in the live performance. Hachimitsu 2 will definitley be covering this!

Kyukkies - "Aisaretai no ni"
I found this song kind of confusing at first… It sounds all dancey and upbeat with lots of electro and then turns out to be a mature ballad-style number. There is a lot of focus on the girl’s voices in this song, which is nice as we don’t normally get to hear as much of Ikuta, Fukumura and Suzuki as we might like.
The song certainly did stand out as unusually mature-sounding, but it shows that the kyukkies are capable of progressing from the childish songs. At times the whispering voices in the background are a bit too much, but then again its nice to see the Kyukkies doing something a bit more sophisticated.
I especcially like the music in the chorus, it sounds classical, interesting and fits a ballad like this well.

10-kis - "Seishun Domannka"
This song is happy, carefree and wouldn’t be out of place as a little girl’s anime opening.
The upbeat lyrics and rhythm fit well with the 10-kis voices, and like the Kyukkies song, this is a nice showcase of their progress so far in Morning Musume. We haven’t heard much vocals from the 10-kis yet, so this was very promising, in that even Haruna (who is considered the weaker singer) shone throughout the entirety of this fun, easy-going song.
