Since we're heading towards Spring - here's another seasonal "Sakura" themed release - Miliyah's latest song is a collaboration with singer Shota Shimizu and will be released as a "Miliyah x Shota" album titled - "THE BEST".
The pair have collaborated previously with Miliyah's 2007 single "I'm your Angel" and also the hit romance songs, "Love Forever" and "Believe".
'Sakura Melody" is an upbeat yet relaxing tune with complimenting and passionate vocals - you can see why these two keep collaborating.
The music video is very cute and fashionable - it shows the pair travelling, on a desert road trip and hanging out at the beach. There's something a bit "90's" about the MV (and it's not just Miliyah's grunge-inspired hairstyles and hipster fashion), but it works very well with the laid-back feel of this song.
Overall, it's kind of refreshing to see a "Sakura" song that doesn't feature any petals (good luck growing any blossom trees in that desert)! This is the kind of bright and optimistic song that makes us long for summer time as well as being a cute ballad that romantics just can't resist.
