Today we have a special interview with Abbie (Former Otaku Owls member) who is now a member of Berry Pop Project.
I also have a mini-review for their dance cover of Juice=Juice's single, "私が言う前に抱きしめなきゃね".

Q: Why don't we start with a little intro? Please tell us about yourself!
A: I'm a short,15 year old girl from northern England called Abbie! I have a big interest in Science and the Japanese culture,Jpop and idol music (especially Hello!Project <333). I upload dance and song covers to youtube and Nico Nico douga, which is pretty weird haha but its so fun, and I met so many amazing and lovely people through it! My hobby apart from youtube videos is ballet, and I have taken lessons since I was 5 years old and at that time I really wanted to be a ballerina.
Q: Can you now describe yourself in -just- one word?
A: Energetic- I keep my friends on their toes haha!
Q: We know you can dance and sing. Are there any other 'hidden' or strange talents you have you would like to share?
A: Hmm, well I am pretty flexible(due to ballet!) and can wrap my legs around my neck which tends to freak people out about lol! I am also double jointed and can turn both of my arms 360 degrees which is always a fun little party trick to do!
Q: Who or what is your biggest inspiration in life?
A: My Aunty Sal as a huge inspiration to me! She has worked so hard all of her life, and she has a huge science interest (like myself!) which she teaches at a university- she even took me there for the day to look around and to play with chemicals aha! What I admire about her most is her "can-do" and persevering attitude that she shows in everything she does and her ability to light up a room with her kind and happy personality- qualities that I would one day love to obtain myself!
Q: What has been your most memorable moment as part of the Otaku Owls?
A: Oh gosh, that is a difficult question! The time we spent together was always so fun, packed and exciting. Even when practising dances, or recording videos/songs we would always find the time to joke around; we were crazy together! The only serious time we had was just before we go to sleep when all the "deep conversations" came out haha! If I really had to pick a most memorable moment it would have to be during the filming/recording of heavy rotation. We had all eaten so much sugary food and we were so hyper and just going crazy! We never stopped laughing, and I cut Mico's birthday cake (as it was her birthday at the same time as the meet up) into 4 huge messy slices which became a running joke within the owls!
Q: What are your future plans?
A: In the near future, I want to continue working hard on my youtube and nico nico videos and live streams and of course at school to aim for high grades and to have a "can-do" attitude and determination like my aunty. I am also hoping to continue striving for my dream to become an idol, even though its a long shot haha I will do my best! In the far future I have a few ideas of where I want to be when I grow up: either doing something related to forensic science, a huge passion of mine, or working in Japan, possibly teaching or something which I would find so fun!! OH~ and a goal I have set myself is to become allot more fluent and much better level of Japanese haha!
Q: You are a member of the Otaku Owls and recently it has been announced that the remaining Otaku Owls are joining Berry Pop Project. Could you explain what this means for the future of Otaku Owls and yourself?
A: Yeah, it was a pretty big decision haha! To be honest, I don't see this decision as an ending to the Otaku Owls as a lot of people have, but rather a new beginning. Me and Catherine (previously the red owl!) were used to a large group of girls around 4 to 5 members, so the graduations of Mico and Krissie within 6 months, left us not knowing where to turn next. We had been close friends with the members of "Berry Pop Project" for quite a while, and one day while talking to them on a group Facebook chat we jokingly said somewhere in within the mass of messages "Lol we should join your group!" At first it was just a joke, but then it suddenly became a serious suggestion and after a week of talking it out it actually ended up happening, which was so surprising but so exciting for us all!
I see this as a new opportunity for all of the members to become even closer as a group but also as friends. This decision however does mean a lot of changes for both the ex-otaku owls and the original berry pop members. However these changes are positive and me and Catherine are hoping to work hard within Berry Pop, and hopefully bring something new to the already lovely group to create what we are calling "a big super group" haha! We are taking advantage of the individual strengths of each member to maximize both our performance level and the amount of fun we have haha! So keep an eye out for our future videos!
Q: And finally, the million dollar question! What (if any) is your favorite anime or manga?
A: Haha I have a really weird taste in anime lol! I really enjoy the cutesy, fun, girly series Shugo chara and then the funny, dark and awesome series soul eater! I love the adventure within them both! I also really love The melancholyof Harui Suzumiya which was the first anime I watched which is really nostalgic for me, but I still love it as much as I did when I was 11/12!
