A few weeks ago we looked at Satoumi Movement's release of Dia Lady's single "Lady Mermaid".
Today the music videos for other Satoumi Movement groups have been released - HI-FIN "Kaigan Seisou Danshi" and Mellowquad "Eiya-sa! Brother".
HI-FIN is a five piece group which consists of C-ute members Nakajima Saki and Hagiwara Mai, Morning Musume members Ikuta Erina and Ishida Ayumi and S-mileage member Fukuda Kanon. Their single is titled "Kaigan Seisou Danshi" - a song concerning the troubles of dating a beach litter-picker.
The concept and lyrics of this song are quite humourous and quirky in comparison to the other singles that have been released under the Satoyama and Satoumi movements. Overall the music video is pretty and ditsy - it is stylised to appear like a TV drama or a cute girl's scrapbook. The music video certainly makes the best out of quite challenging material (better than showing shots of the girls litter-picking!).

Mellowquad is a four member unit consisiting of Berryz Kobo member's Tokunaga Chinami and Natsuyaki Miyabi and C-ute members Yajima Maimi and Okai Chisato. Mellowquad's single is called "Eiya-sa! Brother" and describes the life of a girl from a fishing family, and especcially her admiration for her "cool" fisherman brother.
The song has a distinctly cheerful Japanese-festival feel which is also reflected in the music video and traditional festival costumes. This song also has a touch of humour - the lyrics are energetic and discuss fish species and the sea-creature characters that appear in the video add extra "fun".
I feel a little bit sorry for the Mellowquad members - I can't help but think that "Eiya-sa! Brother" would have been better suited to a unit with a much lower age-range (Fans have also noted that the choreography seems a little bit innappropriate for a song about admiration for your brother - you can make your own opinion on that).
