Today I want to share with you a very cute, 5 member idol group called Baby Raids and their latest single "Koi wa Panic"!
Baby Raids was formed in 2012 and the group made their major debut at the end of the year. They have released 6 singles since, all of which have acheived moderate success on the Oricon charts.
"Koi wa Panic" is the group's sixth single and it was released at the end of January. It's a very charming and light-hearted song with a classic-rock twist. Interestingly, the new song was produced for Baby Raids by the highly reputed rock band "Tsuru".
Last year it was reported that the group's management had claimed that if Baby Raids did not perform a solo live within their first two years, the group would be forced to disband. However, since then their fortune has changed and the group have been able to perform their own concert and embark on a winter tour. Recently, Baby Raids also appeared on the prestigious NYE music show "Kouhaku Uta Gassen"! I hope that this fun and fresh idol group can continue to acheive success.
What first grabbed my attention was the music video for "Koi wa Panic" - it is an unusual MV for an idol group and it seems like it must have been a lot of fun to create!
